Biography
Dr. Robert Di Cecco, MD, FRCSC is an Associate Professor in the Core Division of the Department of Obsetrics and Gynaecology.
Born and raised in Etobicoke, he earned a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto before pursuing graduate studies in enzyme kinetics. He went on to complete his MD and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at U of T in 1998, followed by a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Women’s College Hospital.
Dr. Di Cecco began his career at St. Joseph’s Hospital on the Queensway before joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Health Care London in 1999. Since 2001, he has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the lower genital tract, becoming Medical Director of Colposcopy in 2011 and the Regional Lead for Cervical Screening with the South West Regional Cancer Program (SWRCP) since 2017.
